Our First ToyCon PH Experience: BAD PIPER PH at the 17th Christmas Toys & Collectibles Fair (Dec 13-15, 2024)
As we packed up our products and set off for the 17th Christmas Toys & Collectibles Fair, the excitement and anticipation were palpable. This event marked BAD PIPER PH's first major appearance at ToyCon PH, and we couldnโt have been more thrilled to share this experience with fellow collectors and enthusiasts.
Setting the Stage
Held at the SM MegaTrade Halls 2 & 3, SM Megamall, the 17th Christmas Toys & Collectibles Fair was a bustling hub for collectors, hobbyists, and fans of all things pop culture. The venue was alive with energy, with rows of booths showcasing a variety of Funko Pops, Action Figures, and other toys. Our booth, R#21, stood proudly among the lineup, filled with wide selections of blind boxes.
The Build-Up
Our aim was to not only sell but also create a space where collectors could connect, share stories, and immerse themselves in the joy of blind box collecting. We also had the honor of being one of the Donor Sponsors for the event, which added a special touch to our participation.
The Event Experience
From December 13 to 15, the halls were packed with attendees eager to explore, shop, and celebrate their love for collectibles. At BAD PIPER PH, we welcomed a steady stream of visitors who were curious about our products and excited to try their luck with our blind boxes.
Some highlights of our booth included:
-
Blind Box Thrills: Watching the excitement on customersโ faces as they opened their blind boxes was a joy. For many, it was their first time experiencing the thrill of the unknown, and their reactions were priceless.
-
Exclusive Offers: We offered random free gifts and discount vouchers for purchases over PHP 500, adding a layer of fun and value for our customers. Many visitors left with smiles and surprises in hand.
-
Community Connections: Meeting fellow collectors, event Organizers/Exhibitors and enthusiasts was the heart of the experience. We exchanged stories, heard about their collections, tipsย being anย exhibitor and shared our passion for blind boxes, designer toys, toy community and values.
Lessons Learned
Participating in ToyCon PH was a milestone for BAD PIPER, but it was also a learning experience. We realized the importance of engaging with customers beyond transactions, and we gained insights into what collectors are looking for. From improving our booth setup to tailoring our offerings, every moment was a stepping stone for future events.
Moving Forward
As we packed up on the final day, we couldnโt help but feel immense gratitude for everyone who visited our booth, supported our brand, and shared in the excitement. ToyCon PH was more than just an eventโit was a celebration of the community that makes this hobby so special.
Weโre already looking forward to more events in the future, where we can continue to bring the unique thrill of blind box collecting to more people. Until then, thank you for being part of our journey, and weโll see you again soon!
